Anti-roll bar is the same thing as a sway bar.

A sway bar is used to provide roll resistance and the term is used loosely to describe a general purpose or handling bar. Anti-roll bars tend to be very large and are intended for drag racing applications to eliminate body roll and promote "leaving" straight and flat.

True drag anti-roll bars like our 2245 are very aggressive for a handling type car but of course can be used on the street with caution. The large amount of roll resistance tends to make a car oversteer.

Our 22mm rear provides just enough roll resistance to balance nicely with our 35mm front to provide a true handling bar set.

Increasingly common is the 25mm (1 inch) adjustable arm length bars where roll resistance can be changed from soft to middle to firm. These bars provide street/handling/junior drag all in one.

Oh, and yes, the drag bar, sway bar, anti-roll bar is all the same thing, just with different diameters. Only one per rear of car.

I have only seen from my initial digging that one sponsor on here offers a 1" rear bar and it is not adjustable. Does UMI plan to start selling these?

Strano has a 22mm (.866") adjustable ready right now. I was mistaken on the 1", although I'm sure the 22mm works fantastically.

I saw Sam's setup. Hotchkis has a hallow nonadjustable 1" rear and of course Spohn's solid 1" nonadjustable bar. I guess I will call Sam and see how much of an affect tuning his rear bar has on a drag applications when considering weight.

You mentioned a 35mm front bar, is this just for a handeling oriented car? Or do you recommend it for a street/strip car too?

I would think you would want something as light as possible up front so hollow or if serious enough not running one at all.

The 35 is a handling and street bar. There is no particular benefit to running it on the front of a drag car. There may be a slight detriment due to nose weight and friction which would prevent quick weight transfer to the rear. Drag racers often disconnect their end links or remove the bar altogether to gain that last few hundredths.

Yes, the anti-roll bar replaces the rear sway bar. It actually is a rear sway bar of gigantic proportions.

The 2113 and the 2245 fit in the exact same location. The 2113 is a handling bar, the 2245 is an anti-roll bar.

35 front 22 rear for optimum handling performance.

Adjustable 1.25" rear anti-roll on rear and nothing on front for optimum drag performance.

Thanks, that's what I thought, just wanted to be clear on it. I currently have my front sway bar off because of that.
