I am dropping my car with the bmr spings and eibach shocks..I am running some 17x8.5 inch c5 vette rims with 285/40 tires..do I need the panhard back and reloacation brackets? Cause if I will Id rather get em now and get it all put on at once.

Conventional wisdom says any time you lower the F-body, and/or have wide-ish rear rubber, that an adjustable panhard is the way to go. So yeah, I'd order BMR's adjustable panhard if I were you.

It's silly to buy parts without knowing if you need them.

Hey man, suit yourself. I can't see any reason NOT to get an adjustable panhard, especially if you're lowering, unless you're on a really tight budget or something. I see my friend from Texas has way more posts than I do, so maybe he possesses special wisdom and knows of some disadvantages that I'm unaware of

I was told you have to have an adjustible panhard bar if you lower the car, otherwise, you rear end will not be centered properly.

What I can't understand is why the darn things are so expensive. You can buy 1.25" x .120" steel tubing for a few dollars per foot, and the spherical rod ends w/adjustments are under $10 each at any good hardware store. I figure I can make one for about $20 max and have it powder coated for another $20 here locally. Why they charge $100 to 130 is crazy!

Take a look at BMR's site. They make a new "PANHARD ROD RELOCATION KIT" if you want dual 3" exhaust, and for only $199! I'm thinking of getting that just in case, down the road.

Post count has nothing to do with it.

I guess my philosophy is if it ain't broke, don't **** with it. If you lower the car and you get a rub, then order the PHB.

$10 sperical rod ends ... first hard launch and the rear diff will try and pass you ...

Well said Mitch (can I call you Mitch?)

I completely agreed with you, and only suggested getting the aftermarket panhard because it sounded like it would be needed eventually, and uLoSeAgAin said he would rather put it all on at once. Some people are like that; they'd rather show up at a garage with a big box of parts, and have it installed in one big shot.

You can put your own panhard bar on. You don't even need to jack it up if it has not been lowered yet.
