it depends what you're plans are for the car...i went with UMI because it was better for clearance. So far it appears to be a solid piece...

Absolutely. You can use your factory arm with our relo. You just need the blade type bushing. When the time comes, it will accept our TA as well of course.

I replied to your PM with some more information on out kit. It will work with the factory arm using a polyurethane torque arm bushing.

Hope that helps,
Ryan

When you use UMI version is there any difference in the way the car feels with it not on the tranny? Is it just moved to have less stress on the tranny tailshaft and that's all?

Our relocation kit changes the perceived feel due to its strength (no more flex) and the fact there is a poly bushing in the torque arm nose instead of rubber (less trans movement).

The main benefit, of course, is getting that T/A off the trans.

i have the UMI T/A relocation bracket and i love mine. car feels more solid in turns, doesn't bounce up when i accelerate any more and keeps my tranny safe. i also have their solid T/A and the top is mounted on the second holes from the top on the bracket. the only down fall i noticed was a little more noise coming from the rear end.

now i solved this issue (i was gonna do this anyway) by pulling out my carpet, ripping off all the old padding, putting new stuff on and dynomat the whole car. not only did that eliminate odd sounds, it got rid of some vibration, small rattles and exhaust ticks. I am very happy with my relo bracket, would never put it back on the transmission.

On UMI's website it lists the bushing you need to use the stock TA with their TA relocation kit. http://umiperformance.com/catalog/in...roducts_id=205
