Default Relocation bracket

I ordered a 4L60E tranny. It does not have the tail shaft torque arm bracket, so I need to order a torque arm relocation bracket. I also have Bassani duals, so I need to clear those. Recommendations?

The relocation arm needs to work with the stock torque arm for now.

I like the UMI's the best, but the BMRs are also a good option.

You'll also need to buy a Energy Suspension front TA bushing #3-1111G to use with your stock gm torque arm.

Do yourself a favor and measure from some point of reference on your trans yoke to the tunnel so you can set your new trans at the same height to avoid driveline vibrations. I bought a UMI relocation crossmember for my '94 and found the new xmbr set the trans .375 lower than stock. I shimmed up the trans mount to correct this. I don't understand how they can build them this far off, it's not rocket science.

A lot of the driveline vibrations that come from installing a torque arm relocation crossmember also come from a change in pinion angle due to mounting the front of the torque arm in a location that is different from the factory. I really like to team up our torque arm relocation crossmembers with our adjustable torque arms so you can use the instant center adjustments on the crossmember. To use those adjustments you have to be able to adjust the pinion angle which requires an adjustable torque arm.

^^^Your adjustable torque arm it on my 'to buy' list. I like the fact that you elongate the lower bolt hole on the torque arm bracket to account for the distance change between the torque arm rod ends when changing pinion angle. It's a fine point most of the other manufacturers seemed to miss.

Got a BMR TCC-007 on the way. Thanks for the feedback all. It should be here Monday or Tuesday. I will definitely take some pre-measurements on positioning.

I have the BMR 4L60E crossmember and BMR Adjustable full-length TA. Seems to clear the Kooks TDs without much issue.
