Caliper banjo fitting crush seal size?
I need to run and pick up a couple of banjo fitting crush seals before this weekend to rebuild my front calipers (stock calipers - 2000 SS). Problem is I can't for the life of me remember the correct size - I thought they were 3/8", but don't want to find out when I have the thing torn apart. Can somebody confirm the size or better yet have a GM part number? I'd much appreciate it.
BTW, anybody ever use these Stat-o-seals from Earls? Wondering if they're worth it. http://www.mpsracing.com/products/Earls/PA_Seals.asp
TIA

Good to 450* ... in some applications, I doubt that would be enough. For the street ... probably OK.
But I can think of a LOT of uses for those. Like sealing up oil line fittings to the block. Thanks for the link ....
The crush seal is metric ... 10mm, I believe. Your friendly GM parts guy should be able to look the number up easy enough.
And you realize that it take 2 seals for each caliper, correct? One between the banjo fitting and the caliper and one between the banjo bolt and banjo fitting.

Thanks, Mitch. I was thinking about swinging by Napa just because its closer, so I wanted to make sure I had my facts straight. You're right, though, dealer would be the best bet.

I just rebuilt my calipers and used the 3/8" bolt to keep the fitting closed after I got it off.
