Default Need help with wheel hop!

Well last night I decided to finally try lauching my car from a dead stop to see how she would react. Gotta say she was bouncing and hopping like a 64' in Dr. Dre's video. It does it going into 2nd as well, but like I said this was the first attempt leaving from a stop. It's got a 1 inch drop with sub frame connectors. Any suggestions or help, Thanks!

While I don't disagree those things would help, I'd want more information. I'd start with a TA or LCA's (only certain types, they aren't all the same), and only use brackets if those two and shocks didn't fix the issue. Why? Easy, I don't like the handling aspects of LCA relocation brackets.

The right kind of LCA's that don't bind is cheaper than a TA, and might do the trick for you. If not we can look into more things. The LCA's I'd recommend are UMI's, and you can find them on my site. They are the $179 version.

I'd add that someone mentioned shocks, and shocks can and do make some trouble with axle-hop because the compression and rebound damping on stock shocks aren't right. Compression controls the unsprung weight, and when it's wrong ugly things happen. The rebound is more about the way the car rides and drives, and it's not good on stock shocks either, but also probably not the big issue.

You can also try the cheap method as an experiment. A $75 pair of drag bags will help eliminate the hop with about 5-10psi. It will also make it easier in dialing in the rear end. Shocks and torque arm are important. BMR gots some good ****.

Jegs, Summit, they are basically air bags. I like them because you can adjust each wheel indiviually, Basically stiffens the springs. My car is lowered so I only keep 5-20 psi in each. Never see wheel hop.
