Sam's are something like 550 front linear and 100-150 dual rate rear. The 100 rate gets totally compressed when the car is under normal load, and is used for keeping the spring in place when the rear is under full droop.
I have never had a springrate that big, but I can imagine those springs would make the car pretty tail happy. Not something I'd prefer to have for my car that I daily drive and take to autox/spectator drags.

Of note, I had a UPS truck stop by here yesterday with 3 skids to deliver. Couldn't because he had no lift-gate. But they should be my springs. I'll officially annouce that when I actually have my hands on them.
Vogtland's springs and my springs made by Vogtland are really different. The only thing that is the same is the material. Though mine are still lighter because there aren't as many coils.
Being that I have my springs made by Vogtland, and the quality is good you must be wondering why I don't just use their springs. Because I want what I want, and they're spring rates aren't what I believe they should be. The fronts are softer than mine, the rear significantly stiffer. I developed my by testing and tuning, not by computer generated models, and I have results backing up my philosophy and rates.
I'd be happy to sell you Vogtland's own springs if you want, we use them a lot on S197 Mustangs because they work in that application better than in F-body land IMHO.

I also have to ask.... what is it you want from the car?
You've been all over the map with Ground Controls, "launching" springs, mine, Vogtland's, I'm guessing Eibach, BMR, DMS and the others too. Some of those springs are VERY different and have very different design parameters.

i dont know anything about springs i have koni double adjustable shocks and i got a good deal on the eibach GC kit so i was going to try it then i figured out how big of a PITA they were so i decided to go with something different. its a DD and never sees anything except the strip occasionally. i want it a lil lower but not on the ground besides i have true duals to keep off the ground. what do you think would be the best for my app?

I think mine might be a great answer, but you seemed to be a HUGE hurry, and I don't know that the details mattered to you all that much.
It's your car. If you can't kind of explain what you want from it to me, it's not really my place to tell you what you need. My job, as I see it, is to help you decide, not to decide for you. Knowing how things work is fine, but it's not necessary for you to tell me the car has too much body roll, or just feels disconnected from the road, etc.
Honestly I'm not sure that any spring you decide on wouldn't be "fine" given the generalities involved and the fact we've been bouncing around so much. I assume you must know there is a huge difference in drag or "launching" springs than are from handling springs. What's a "little lower". 2" sounds like a little, but on the car is a lot, and far too much. Maybe 1.2" sounds like too little. Sounds like and is are two different things.

So like you want daily driver comfort and a slight drop to support the true duals. You could sell the front DA's you have and get Koni SA's to use the lower perch. Keep your stock springs. Do the hose mod for the rear springs and keep the rear DA's
For cars with occasional strip use who want their cars lowered I will probably almost always recommend a mild/average autox friendly setup. Seems like a lot of people who want a strip/street setup go into making their choices with a lot of assumptions about handling when they really don't know and their auto assumptions are wrong, and in the end turn out with a setup that could be a lot better

Turns out the pallets were swaybars and not springs. *sigh*
But I did get an update. Springs have arrived in Houston, pending customs clearance and Vogtland tells me they should be on a truck headed for PA sometime middle of next week.

You say the Vogtland rears are too stiff. If they're so stiff then why was my car bottoming out with Tokico shocks? If it's too stiff of a spring it shouldn't bottom out. As was posted on another board by someone else selling Vogtland springs, the stiff spring rate isn't until they're into the jounce bumpers anyways. I put on a set of Koni SA's and now it rides better than stock. I liked the way the front rides even with the Tokico shocks. I have a set of Konis I'm going to be putting on the front next week which should make the ride even nicer.
