Failed allignment, Pass side front sitting lower, bent spindle?

Default Failed allignment, Pass side front sitting lower, bent spindle?

Ever since I replaced my shocks and springs in the front the passenger front side has been sitting ALOT lower than the driver's side - about 1'' lower than the 1'' lowered driver's side.

When you take a look at the wheel you can tell the camber is WAY in too, I took it to get it aligned and the computer printout now says driver's side -0.1* pass side -2.4*

The shop I got it aligned in is a national auto repair shop chain here in Canada, yet they had no idea what could've caused it. I also got 2nd opinion from another mechanic which said the spindle might be bent (would that cause it, how can I tell?) but I was untrusting, as always, and another mechanic I brought it to again didn't mention anything about the spindle.

I have not been in an accident, nor hit a curb, ditch, etc that I know of. Also, the shocks that I have put in before summer are KYB AGX adjustables with BMR 1'' drop springs.

My 2000 TA sits about 3/8" lower on the passenger side. It was like this before I lowered it. I've heard this is common on these cars. Never 1" though!

I heard it was common on our cars, but 1'' and 2.4 negative camber definitely means somethings wrong. I just have no idea what.

Make sure the spring is sitting correctly in the support on the shock. If its not correct, it can alter the height.

could be a bent spindle, a guy posted a pic just the other day, i didnt know that happened, but it does

Isn't the spindle on a F-body made from cast iron which CANNOT be bent but can be broken into pieces like all cast iron parts?

That's what confused me too, I was told the cast iron spindles break rather then bend...but this looks like it could be it....

I'll get a used spindle (that's hopefully not bent) and try that in.

Also, do I need to get another spindle from another 98, or will any 4th gen - 93-97 RH spindle work as well?

1993-1997 spindles are different than 1998-2002 spindles

Ive noticed this about my ride as well. My passenger side rim/tire looks as if its pushed in toward the engine a little more than the drivers side and to me it seems like it sits leaning toward the passenger side as well. I have QA1 coilovers on the front and Ive adjusted them to the same height as the drivers side coilover. Im at a loss as well until I saw this thread. Im the second owner of my car and Ive never curbed it or wrecked it or anything.

um, it can be bent. did it when i did a 360 and slammed the right front tire sideways into a curb. bent at the curve at the top.
