Default Whats stock ride height

Wondering what the stock ride height is for a 2000 camaro Z28 I bought the car lowered and I it is sitting really low thinking maybe the springs are sagging. so before I go buy spring I would like to know if itll lift or lower my car anymore.

From the top of the fender to the ground should probably be somewhere between 27.5-28 inches, IIRC- with stock springs. Obviously, ride height will vary if you have different sized wheels. I know my SS was in that range with stock springs and stock 17" wheels.

get strano springs and koni shocks if you want to be lowered. that's the best way to go.

How much of a drop are you looking for?

The Eibachs are notorious for lowering more than advertised, but I am not familiar with the other brand you mentioned.

Strano springs lower 1.25", and Hotchkis and BMR both lower 1". I have the Hotchkis and I am pleased with them- the drop is just about perfect, and with Strano revalved Bilsteins the ride quality is pretty good for a lowered car, IMO.

Good luck whatever you decide! Let us know how it works out for you.

Most LS1 cars are about 27" front, 28" rear ground to highest point on the fender openings *with* stock diameter tires.

I don't know what you have, but my springs result in a height that's pretty consistantly 26" front, 26.75" rear on stock diameter tires.

Here is my stock ride height.
Suspension Mods in sig.

:::::::::: Fender :::::: Inside ::::: Fender :::::
:::::::::::: To ::::: Wheel Well ::::: To ::::::::
:::::::::: Ground ::::: To Tire :::::: Tire :::::::
---------------------------------------------
**DRIVER**
FRONT::: 26.75" :::::: 4.25" ::::::: 1.75" ::::::
REAR::::: 27.75" :::::: 6.25" ::::::: 2.75" ::::::

**PASSENGER**
FRONT::: 26.75" :::::: 4.00" ::::::: 1.75" ::::::
REAR::::: 26.75" :::::: 5.25" ::::::: 1.75" ::::::

Interesting that only my driver's side rear is 1" higher.
(Probably for the theory that it'll level out with a driver.)

Some people on here that have measured their stock ride height have come up with higher numbers than mine (about 1/2" - 1" more). I have the stock springs. I've had the car since new. I can't explain why my car is lower.

I think my ride height is low enough. I don't want my car any lower than it is now.
