honestly for your safty just take it to a pepboys and have them compress it for you on their machine, probably only charge you like 20 bucks. but if your brave you put it back all on the car and support the body of the car up high enough then with a jack under the control arm undo the bolt holding the strut and spring assembly and SLOWLY lover the control arm to unload the pressure. just be careful to not take yourself out with the spring.

The 4th-gen f-body has front coil-over shocks. You have to remove the coil-over assembly and disassemble it off the car. Those links tell you exactly how to do that. What were you expecting?

**** ignore all that crap in the rear install link. All you have to do it unbolt the bottom of the rear shocks, and the passenger's side PHB bolt. Jack up the body let the rear hang. Pull the springs out by the bottom. Then replace the spring. Bolt back up. DONE.
Front pull the spring/shock assembly. Hookup the spring compressor, unbolt the top nut. Disassemble, swap out springs, re-compress, bolt on top nut. Replace spring;/shock assembly, button up.
GET AN ALIGNMENT, DONE!
**the spring compressor with the dual hook will work the best. Hook that bitch up to the coil, hit it with an impact. Your set to go. Then pull the top nut and after the top of the assembly comes off, loosen the spring slowly.**
