Default Rear end is squirrelly.

Ok, since I put my TT2s 9.5 x 11, Bilstien re-valves, Hotchkis springs, adjustable Panhard bar on and removed my bumpstops a few thousand miles ago, my rear-end likes to jerk side to side. When I hit the painted stripes in the road or small holes, it jerks. I have to hold the steering wheel pretty tight. I was on the interstate today and it was crazy, it can't be safe. Anybody have any suggestions?

everythings tight? especially check panhard thats most of the time it especially if the movement is side to side also make sure the LCA bushings look good and theyre tight . i had a bushing in my stock lca's that looked like it exploded and caused the rear to feel loose as hell. (made it feel like what ur describing somewhat)

also jack the rear up on jack stands(not under the rear end but the jack location) and get to pulling and jerking on it. if somethings loose you should be able to find it pretty easy that way

Could the fact that I have no bumpstops cause side to side looseness?

sounds like you need to have you alignment done. Make sure your panhard bar is tightened down nice and good to.

While PMing you told me the bumpstops were gone I asked if the issues started at the same time. Your answer was yes. But still you seem unconvinced.

I just can't recall it being as bad as it is now. I don't doubt you, I just would like to know what others have done to fix the problem. I'm certainly not the only one on here that's cut their bumpstops off.

Bumpstops should never be cut off. I'd like to know more about the supposed Revalves you put on, because "Revalves" are something I did and haven't done them since March of 2006.... And others claim they are when they are in fact things like SLP shocks, etc.

I bought them from you back a year and a half ago.

Doesn't make sense to me that holding the wheel correlates to rear end wiggle. If it's bad enough to affect steering, then you have to actually correct the steering but that's not exactly what you are describing. If it's the rear, then logically it's shocks and/or panhard related. If it's affecting the steering wheel, it's in the front end and probably alignment related. How old is the car and how many miles? These steering racks tend to crap out and have a loose feeling over time, kind of like bump steer. I replaced the rack, tightened some things up and got an alignment and it was a new car. Have a reputable alignment shop check the front end, I doubt it's rear end related.

The car is a 2000 with 73000 miles, the steering feels great, it's just that when my rear tires touch the painted lines or a small hole etc., it tends to grab and pull towards it, almost like traction control, but, I don't have traction control.

Replace the bumpstops and see if you have the problem. Then you will know if that was it.

I can't replace the bumpstops, they had to be cut off to get the rims on.

There is plenty of clearance between my tires and the wheel wells, only when I hit a pretty big bump do my tires rub the upper part of the wheel well. The car handles beautifully. I live on a mountain, so there are plenty of curvy roads that I travel, the car doesn't feel loose at all when driving these roads. The only problem is when driving over a small rough spot or the painted lines, the tires grab it and pull it that way.

It seems to me you are having tracking issues due to the wider tires. Try different less bumpy roads. This happens when the contact patch is increased and tires tend to follow every road imperfection more. Just a thought.

OK, here's an update for anyone out there with the same problem...
I checked my tire pressure, it was between 22 and 25 psi, that's crazy low. So, I put 35psi in all 4 tires and that seemed to clear most of the problem. I'm sure a good alignment should get it back to normal. Thanks guys for all the input.
