Re: Photos - Before/After lowering springs
Not sure on how much it lowered it, we didn't measure it. But, looking at the pictures you can see it made a huge difference.
Ride quality is the same as my stock SS springs, not sure if they are stiffer than regular Z28 springs or not. Anyone know?
No tires rubbing at all (stock 275/40/17s)
Les, I may have the alignment checked out, most people do not.

Car Looks great!! Any handling differences? What shocks are you running?
You will definitely need an alignment or you will wear the inside edge of your front tires pretty bad.

stock DeCarbon shocks/struts. When those wear out I'll upgrade to something else. To be honest, I thought it handled pretty well even stock, especially for a convertible. It sure feels flat when I floor it around a corner.

She looks great Tony! Saw your post on SLP. Just curious about the shocks. Each time I read about lowering the car they seemed convinced new shocks like Bilesteins should be installed as well. What difference doe it make if the deCarbons are retained or other makes are installed with the lowering springs?

tony dont worry about the alingment. you didnt lower the car too much to where you changed your camber/caster on the front wheels. as long as the car still drivces straight i wouldnt worry about it at all. other than that, the looks good.

Re: Photos - Before/After lowering springs
An alignment is always a good idea after lowering. Besides a front-end alignment being relatively cheap, it will get you a more "performance-oriented" handling feel than the factory settings. You should also see reduced front tire wear without the factory's positive camber #'s.
For a street-driven car I'd shoot for something between -0.5 and -1.0 camber, +4 to +5 caster (I prefer more caster for high speed stability), and 0 toe. Hotchkis may have recommended settings as well (I know Eibach does).
