Default Traction

I have been having issues with traction and am looking for some advise. I have a full weight 2000 SS (3580 lbs with driver). I'll spare all the mods and move on to the suspension and tires. I run 26x10.50-16 MT ET Streets. I have a Spohn Adj. Tunnel Mount Torque arm, Double adj. LCA, LCA relocation brackets. I run stock 3.23 gears in the stock 10 bolt. The panhard is stock and so is the sway bar. I have Eibach Pro Kit with stock shocks and struts.

I have tried from 20# air pressure in the tires down to 15#. I adjusted the LCA as short as possible to get more weight behind the tires and set pinion angle to -2. My best 60' has been a 1.54 on a 125 shot, anything bigger than that and I spin. The best that the car has done is a 10.97 with a wheel hopping 1.57 60'. I'd like to get my 60' into the 1.4x with adjustments.

Give me some ideas and input, please.

Bottom hole, LCA are pretty much level in the bottom hole.

Well you can't drop them down any lower. Does it spin from the very beginning or does it hook and the break the tires loose? Your going to need to upgrade your shocks eventually. If you want give me a call and we can help you out.

I'll give you a call, who should I asked for? If you had to pick front or rear, which should come first?

Tire pressure should be down around 12. 15 and 20 seem high. If you haven't already, disconnect the front sway bar.

Id try a good shock/spring setup to get more weight transfer. Youd be suprised at how much a shock adjustment can help.

Front sway bar is long gone. 15 psi was too little air pressure, tires were cupping. Take into account this is a full weight car (3580# with driver).

If you can only do one end at a time do the front first. Ask for Lee or myself.

battery relocate and get some stiff rear shocks. Maybe drop some wieght off the nose and the rear tires wont have to fight to get the cars total inertia going, not to mention overall handling will improve in the proccess.
