FLT stage 3 tranny, Vig 3600, B&M supercooler install with LOTS of pics
Finally got GRL's tranny and stall in...and we found a nice surprise when we did...the car actually had a Vig stall in it with a aftermarket cooler. Here are some pics of the madness...It was about 50 degrees outside when we were working on it.
the pics are out of order but you get the idea.
took us about 12hrs total, not bad for out first one in a garage without a lift...would have taken alot less but we had problems with the tranny lines and the stall needed to be shimmed .060 from the flexplate.
cool panoramic thing my camera does
New cooler
73 degrees inside the garage
Matt throwing in the cooler lines
New and Old tranny
Vig that came out
FLT level 3
lots of goodies
oh snap
got distracted
2500 bucks right there..
up the shut **** Matt and do it
I've got a lot more pics i'll post later.

lol cool pics. Nice plates on both cars. You're gonna love that super cooler. I have one on my TA and on the highway its always around 125*. After racing it only goes up to 160*. I have it connected after it comes out the radiator. It might even be "too" cold.

I think she just wanted the extra security of having a built tranny for the larger stall...it only had about 80,000 on the old one...
Jesse, there are actually about 7 of us that have "QWK" plates..
QWK LS1, Z28, SRT, SVT, WS6, GRL, SLP
and the way Matt routed the cooler it still retains the stock one and runs through the B&M last I think

Just to clarify, we actually shimmed it about .160. We stacked two washers that we got at home depot cause we couldnt find anything else and had to get it done. Does anyone see any problems with this? The distance from the flexplate to the converter was .315 so with the two washers that puts is at about .155 (right were we need to be). We used ARP converter bolts which were longer than the stock ones so I'm thinking that we should be fine. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hope y'all made it back home with no issues Chrisoula and enovations. Car sounds good and put down some strong numbers.
You should have brought it down here and used the lift.
