LS1TECH Texas cruise which way are we going?????
OK,we have the date down it's JUNE 5,6,7so now which way do we take to Houston?
A. DFW guys and surrounding towns leave from DFW and go all the way down to houston on I-45,and the Austin,S.A. do the same thing down I-10 or 290. And we spend Fri and Sat night in houston and go home sunday.
B. We go from DFW to Austin to get those guys and have the S.A. guys go up to austin and meet us there. And take 290 all the way to houston and stay Fri and Sat in houston and come back sunday.
C. DFW guys go to Austin stay the night there and see what's up with the scene in Austin and get up Sat morning and head to houston (290). So we can spend the day there and stay the night there and leave sunday and head home.
Well now that we have the date set lets get the route set and we can go from there if you have any questions or ideas let me know PM me.
Thanks,Sway

I vote for A. If the other towns want to cruise out, then let them step up and plan one. I don't see a need to add 2-3 hours of drive time going to "pick them up."
Lets be realistic. Fuel prices are going to be getting higher especially after Memorial Day. The longer the route, the more likely we'll have people drop out at the last minute because of costs involved. This especially goes for the guys with the more modded cars. Then you have the added potential for breakage along the way. I know my set up is untested for that long of a haul.
Don't get me wrong, a big cruise would be cool. I just feel that 2 seperate cruises is more feasible?

I voted B, because a huge multi city cruise would be awesome to be a part of, lol.
But I understand completely where ya'll are coming from. So I'm personally ok with whichever A or B.
Oh, and C wouldn't be good because Austin doesn't do anything on Friday nights, lol. Anything car related at least. Sorry. San Antonio has meets on Friday nights though, but that'd be some more driving.

Well the thing with C would be DFW guys having to get hotels in two different citys.
