Not really worried about what the "Good Book" has to say about it. I just want to know if there is a legal way I can separate myself, wife, and daughter from a psychotic mother. I know the criminal laws, just not the civil side of the system.

Nope, I'm 31, just tired of dealing with them and the constant stress that looms over me and my family.

I guess a restraining order is what you would need.

Yea I could do that and get a criminal trespass against them, but they're still going to have legal ties to my daughter, which I don't want. May have to start researching..hmm..

I don't think so. Pretty sure they wont have ties with your daughter after it but yeah, do your research.

How are you 31 years old and your parents are still manipulating your life?? Man, if it's that bad, what's wrong with telling them to go the hell away and don't come back? As far as having legal ties to your daughter, you and your wife are her parents. There ain't **** that your parents can do in regards to her without your approval - at all!

Unless the grandparents had been granted legal guardianship at some point, I can't see where they would have ANY legal basis for visitation, etc.

Best bet would be to first sever any personal ties with anyone who might leak info to the grandparents then move. That way they cant find out where you went to try to follow.

I just turned 45 and my mom is still trying to manipulate my life. So I married the girl of my dreams ( mom doesn't like her) anyway. And got on with my life. I still talk to them and visit about once aa month even thou they only live 70 miles from me. Dad is one cool dude.

at 31 if you can't be a man and put them in their places, then I'm not sure you are ready to be separated from your parents yet. You may want to move back home.
