alright a friend of mine broke his ls1 and now he is thinking of puting a bone stock 6.0 in it. Will it bolt right in? He will be using his oil pan ls6 intake, accy, ect. what all would he have to change over? also what 6.0 would be the best for his situation? Thanks

it will work, the only thing you have to do is drill and tap one hole for the alternator braket on the bottom corner,
its a cheap budget motor that will take a beating, trust me

6.0 iron block? If so you drill and tap a hole for the alternator bracket. Everything else bolts up.

If your talking about a LS2, its the wiring harness you gotta mess with.

LQ4 if you plan on going boost, 2003+ had stronger rods and such i believe. LQ9 if your going all motor, has higher compression.

He needs to find an 01-05 I think any thing later than 2005 will have the 58x reluctor on the crank. The pre-2001 will not work with a 4l60e because of the crank.

Yes, 2000-2005, avoid any with cast iron heads, 99 and some 2000 as the crank will not allow use of a t56.
