Default Oil in you cooling system???

Well we decided to clean out the cooling system in my brothers car. During this process we started seeing "milky" blobs coming out with were oily...WTF???
got it all cleared out, go to the reservoir and it is full of the same milky crap... After this we check the oil and it is fine. We are going to drain it and change the oil to be on the safe side. But what would cause this? There has been a few times where we see the milky substance under the oil fill cap.

i smell a faulty power steering cooler... dexcool will also get very nasty if you never change it but if you have a power steering cooler that would definitely be my first guess... i would just get rid of that piece of crap altogether, it's prob doing more bad than good

I was always under the impression that if oil and coolant were mixed there was a leak in the block somewhere. (heads, internal block)

Well, the right mess is a blown head gasket or intake gasket, the intake gasket is a older issue not a LS problem.

Agreed, could be a blown head gasket. Does the car ever over heat?

is the car an auto? if so i could a;so just be the radiator leaking atf into the cooling system, or also the ps cooler. most of the time you have a bad head gasket or a cracked head or block yes you can get oil in the coolant but you most of the time you will have coolant in the oil. Because the coolant is thinner than the oil so is most likely to go thru the crack first

Car runs good. Yes it is an auto, and have never had a problem with over heating. Oil is clean as well.

i would check the trans fluid and ps fluid, it sounds like a radiator to me. were the trans fluid and coolant are seperated has broke and is letting the fluid mix. seen it happen a few times
