Pull out the interior/carpet, install Dyno Mat throughout... new carpet, 4th Gen cloth seats, to start... LSX based motor, will keep the 700R4 ( rebuild) say a 3000-3500 stall, and some 323's ( decent mileage).. also have a guy that i can send off the wheels to be redone.. Have a spare set of chrome Z06's that i "may" try...?? and a good detail/Wax... that should get me into 2012..

It is GM blue, probably the same blue i bet.
Took allot mre time than i wanted since i went from 6.0 to BBC swap back to 6.0, now it is official, LOL.
The MSD is far from junk, it has the ability to use the 6 different curve chips, or tune it wit a lap top(which is why i bought a lap top), it has a 2 step rev limiter built in, nitrous/boost retard, vacuum advance curve if you use a MAP sensor and the timing curves are fully adjustable.
So screw buying some adapter for a distributor, a distributor, a ignition box to operate that, a coil, a 2 step rev limiter, a timing retard box and having to spin and lock in a damn dist and fumbling with a damn timing light.
This bitch fired right up with this setup, NOW, if you are thinking of the Edelbrock box that comes with the intake if you buy it as a package deal....yea, that is junk.

I like the idea. I would agree about the 5/6 speed. Get'em started young the right way. BTW I would put the Iroc Z wheels on it, personally I think the ZO6 wheels would def. take away from the car and some what looking "stock" from the outside would def. suprise alot of folks. Either way your sons are lucky to have a dad that shares the same "hobbies". GL.

You know, i thought about the IROC wheels... but did not want to Pose.. I saw a car exactly like this one running the 17X9's Chrome Z06's on it and i must say it looked pretty sweet.. I have a set of the cheap aftermarket Z06's in my shop that i "may" throw on there when i send the original wheels off to be redone... think i will stay with the originals.. Build up the motor, tranny, and have kind of a sleeper...
flip side of the 5/6 speed... You can't beat a stalled auto from light to light.. or @ the track for that matter... decisions, decisions...
