wrong odometer reading on inspection

Default wrong odometer reading on inspection

just noticed that my inspection report back from june has my milage down as 178k instead of 78k. how do i fix this?

lol nice.. thats gonna show up on carfax

i think its like your credit.. you can fix it but its still gonna be there type of thing

I would take it back to them and tell them to fix that ****.

Its not rocket science for anyone looking at a car fax.

If previous years shows 2k, 12k, 23k, 34k, 45k, 56k, 67k, this year it shows 178k and next year it shows 84k then they will know the inspector messed up.

i guess as long as the next one has the correct milage it should be ok.

What you need to do is fax over your info(invoices from your car with mileage and the inspection papers) to the CARFAX people and tell them what happened and how it happened and they will fix it.

Going back to the shop that did the inspection won't help because they can't do anything for you.

That's how it's done.
Just google it or go to there website..

YEah but alot of people when they look all they see is there is a problem with the car fax. I saw this the other day on a 2010 camaro I was looking at on ebay and it was clear some one just made an error. It still showed up as a mileage problem on the car and didn't qualify for the vehicle buy back protection.

kwikkar, tks for the info. im going to follow up on this and ill let yall know if i get this resolved with the carfax people.
