All SS Camaros are SLP cars right?
My car has the WU8 code but dont have SLP air
Box. Someones trying to tell me I don't have an SLP car. It's my understanding that all SSs began as z28s then sent to SLP to become an SS,
Right?

My understanding was that gm made the ss in house and some were sent to slp for options...so to answer your question I don't think all ss cars are slp...but then again i could be wrong and stand to be educated
I've owned two ss camaros and one had the door sticker the other didn't...neither had an slp airbox

I believe that all of the LT1 cars were done over at SLP, but starting in 98, GM took over of the body stuff unless you ordered a "level 2" car with the better suspension and whatnot.
I think......

all SS's are slp cars, whether they were sent to slp or not... from not sure when they started what im about to explain but i know my year is like this and i wanna say this was from 00 or 01 and up... the only cars that got the slp sticker were cars that got options i.e. slp black wing air lid, stage II bilstein susp., CME, floor mats, key chain and other b/s like that... if your car is just a reg SS that just has the SS wing and hood then you will not have another sticker from SLP. i hope this helps if you need some more info lemme know i got a whole bunch but it's mainly for 35th LE's.

my 2001 ss is a stage 2 slp package but the sticker got peeled off not to long ago lol. it says all the options that slp put into it. usualy the driver sides has another sticker but it just has like vin numbers i think or something like that. mines had it on both sides now i only have the driver side. but i thinl all ss camaros are slp and not all camaro ss came with a lid. some came with the blackwing or whatever some came with the one you buy of line that everyone has like mines or some came with same as a z28

All SS's are SLP cars, but not all had SLP options (which is why they don't have the sticker). In addition, I don't believe any Camaro came from SLP with their lid...just the black wing lid in the later years.
