Id like to do the trade to a six speed. I was quoted $2500 in california for everything and they keep the auto trans. I thought it was pretty expensive.

Are you bracing the fire wall where the master cylinder goes through? I have a couple of people that want to do a 6 speed swap and I was wondering if anyone made a plate for this yet.

Are you swaping out your engine harness as well? Youve got some things there that will be needed to make your trany function.

yeah, is there a reason why the steering column has to be removed?

I will be attempting the same swap here pretty soon

I've read that it doesn't need to come out but honestly I'm glad I did. It has given me a lot of room to work. I couldn't imagine doing it with it all there but then again I get to cussing if I'm in tight spots. Maybe just the drivers seat if I were to do it again. And I'm keeping my auto harness in but I will have the m6 harness here if I need anything from it
