Default T/A Prices high??? or just me?

Is it just me or are the prices for T/A's getting a little high??? been looking around for a clean 2000-02 6spd T/A and they all seem to be up in or near the 12-13k range for 130K+ miles cars that aren't even WS6's.... been thinking hell for that I could find an 05-06 GTO with like 60k for that.......soo..guess my question is....WTH????....

Noticed that as well... Guess I should have held on to mine a couple more months so I could under cut these guys and make it look like a great deal. Haha

IMHO, I've aways seen LS1 fbodys as overpriced. I picked up my 1995 Formula in 2007 (12 years old at the time) with 67k miles on the clock for $5,500. At the time an LS1 car with that many miles were around $11-13k, double the price...

Nowadays a 98-00 Fbody with 60-70k are $8,500 up to over $10k still...

You want to talk about high resale value?? Check out Supra's, even with 100k on the clock, they still cost almost the same as they did brand new back in the day!

Also take into consideration that it is right around tax time. Car prices generally start going up near tax time. Great time to sell but a bad time to buy a car

They still demand a good bit, but the prices have come down some what on modified ones, same with Vipers. Before the economy tumbled down, those seemed like the only two modern cars you could build and get a good majority of your money back, not so any more. But for Supras, it's really tough to find clean, low mile ones that are still stock.

I guess you could argue the fact that the'll never produce TA's again. I bought a 99 non ws6 with 50k this year for 8k, and thought I was getting a steal, but in all reality it was just a "fair" price at best.

It's coming up on Spring time, which = Summer in Texas. Prices on these type of cars generally go up around this time of year because more people are looking for them. Not so much in winter time.

I'd sell my 01 ws6 for $25k. It has 66k miles on it. 414, built 6 speed, spec twin, moser 12 bolt.

@nassty00. Are you a troll?? Cause I think that's your bridge over there.

FYI our cars were less then 30k 9 years ago, and the newest fbody is still almost 10 years old. Go find other cars from 02 and check value. I've seen fully loaded grand prixs sell for 2500 bucks....in great shape...

Tech still amazes me sometimes at how ignornorant people can be with all the enormous amounts of info on here.

guys...lets not get hostile here...but here is what I'm searching for after I sell my quad and get moved.:
2000 - 02 WS6 (may consider a Formula or T/A as well)
6spd, Clean interior, no major cracks, tears, cig bruns, stains, etc
preferably under 130K miles and preferably stock, but some mods won't hurt...cause I'm looking to build a Turbo 408 car with my dad and it's just what we prefer to start with...

as long as has the above things, color doesn't matter as long as it's not red since it will be re-painted SOM anyways more than likely....unless I just happen to find an SOM car(highly highly unlikely I know)

he's absolutely right. ls1's are the greatest cars ever, and their prices should reflect this. anything under 10k for an fbody is absurd. never mind the fact that they're at least 10 years old...and we're in a recession....and gas prices are high....and vettes/gto's are getting cheaper.....and most have been ragged on by 18 year olds.....and most are high mileage....and theres a shitload of them, so theyre not very collectible....thats all a bunch of crap! people like the OP ruin the f-body market by talking about it on forums; it has nothing to do with supply/demand or the people who actually undersell their cars because they need the money.....no way, not ever!

Lmao at a fool putting a grand prix in the same category as a ws6. Something is worth whatever the highest bidder is willing to pay. Loo at the 04 ctsv or a silverado ss specialty cars sell higher.
