Arrow In-car video of my 179 mph TX Mile pass in Z06

I ran the C6 Z06 at the Texas Mile yesterday. Only got 2 runs in, then packed it up and drove home. The wait was 3-4 hours between passes. 16 mph head wind kept everyone a little slower than expected. Temps 85F and sunny.

This pass was made in full street trim, on the 20" HRE wheels and Nitto Invo tires. As you can see in 1st/2nd, there were some traction issues. haha

Mods summary: Maggie TVS2300, American Racing 1-7/8 long tube headers with cats. The rest of the car is stock. LMR did the dyno tuning.

Cool video Tony. Looked pretty bumpy, especially at the end. How did the track feel compared to Goliad?

Patrick, I like Goliad's runway much better. It was more even/level, without any jarring bumps. I like the concrete pit area of Beeville much better though, more room to park a trailer.

Andrew, the LS9/Katech dual disk clutch is awesome. I like it better than the OEM one.

Kyle, I was hoping for 190.0 mph. Most cars were about 5-6 mph slower than normal. My Z06 ran 10 mph faster than a stock ZR1 Corvette did, which is about right for it's power difference. Drag radials would have helped me in the first 1/2-mile no doubt. I had to lift in 1st and 2nd to keep traction.

You could definitely tell you had to let out on shifts. That's way too long to wait between runs. Guess that shows how many people were there.

That track looks like butter compared to some of the videos I have seen.

Good deal, I am dropping mine off this week at LMR so they can change the clutch to the LS9X clutch. Tired of the clutch chatter with the Spec twin disk.

Tony, didnt get to meet you in person but i bought your CCW's off of Lane_change... funny how that worked out.

The track was pretty bumpy but overall i think it looks worse in the video. Also it seemed to be smoother the further to the right i ran...

Car photo was just my simple Sony point-n-shoot. Nothing fancy about it.
