yeah ok, still I thought the exhaust had to be behind the front tire.
here is what i found on the 2011 NHRA Unleashed rule book.
Competition exhaust systems permitted. Mufflers mandatory and must be functional
(except turbocharged entries). Cone insert type mufflers prohibited. Exhaust may exit
underneath car or out the front fenders, but must not affect timing or staging beams.
here is the 2010 NHRA Unleashed rule book
Competition exhaust systems permitted. Mufflers mandatory and must be functional (except
turbocharged entries). Cone insert type mufflers prohibited. Exhaust must exit minimum of 12
inches behind centerline of front axle.
Hints on where front axle came from.
We had hell on a buddy of mine's car getting the exhaust around to the backside of the tire so the car would fit the rules.
It does look good up front and the whole project looks like a blast I just would hate to take it to the track and get told I couldn't run it due to where the exhaust is at.
