Do we have any home brewers in the Texas Section?
I know this may be more of a lounge topic, but we all know how the Texas Section operates.
For the past few months I decided to take up the hobby of beer brewing and with the help of a couple friends I jumped with both feet forward and built an All-Grain brewing setup.
I'm using Beersmith for my recipe software, which a good buddy of mine does the recipe writing.
So far I've brewed up a Blonde Ale that was fermented with a belgian yeast, an american styled IPA, american styled stout, and my most recent creation a stout that will be aged with oak, and fermented initially with a belgian yeast but will be cold crashing and using a wild ale / sour type yeast to continue the rest of the fermentation for the next 3-6 months.
my rack i built using uni strut:
running the past brew through the plate chiller (a heat exchanger) into the car boy to get ready to ferment:
and now it is fermenting like crazy... had to put a blow off tube on it:
So, do we got any other brewers on here? Maybe we could have a collaborative brew day eventually? Would be kinda cool.

Brewed up an Imperial Dark Winter Wit brew today. Hit all my numbers spot on... should make around 10-11% abv.
Imperial Winter beer (left) and my stout pitched with brettanomyces-lambicus yeast on the right
^I lost a lot of beer due to a lot of blow off during the first few days of fermentation (brett-stout) so i was only able to salvage ~4 gallons.
