Default Do we have any home brewers in the Texas Section?

I know this may be more of a lounge topic, but we all know how the Texas Section operates.

For the past few months I decided to take up the hobby of beer brewing and with the help of a couple friends I jumped with both feet forward and built an All-Grain brewing setup.

I'm using Beersmith for my recipe software, which a good buddy of mine does the recipe writing.

So far I've brewed up a Blonde Ale that was fermented with a belgian yeast, an american styled IPA, american styled stout, and my most recent creation a stout that will be aged with oak, and fermented initially with a belgian yeast but will be cold crashing and using a wild ale / sour type yeast to continue the rest of the fermentation for the next 3-6 months.

my rack i built using uni strut:

running the past brew through the plate chiller (a heat exchanger) into the car boy to get ready to ferment:

and now it is fermenting like crazy... had to put a blow off tube on it:

So, do we got any other brewers on here? Maybe we could have a collaborative brew day eventually? Would be kinda cool.

I've been brewing for about a year now. Started off with a few extract batches and moved to AG soon after. It's hard brewing in an apartment though.

Nice rack!

I used to brew. But I don't drink a lot of beer and didn't have a decent place to store it.
Gave away cases as Christmas presents.

yeah my beer consumption has dropped tremendously alas, I have plenty of friends over and with most of them around we go through the beer pretty damn fast.

Brewing for 16 years, but never built a system like that. It's awesome!! I'm in a brew club in Nacogdoches, a bit too far to participate, but brewing with friends is the way to go. Good luck with it!

Been brewing since 96. Too many projects right now but hope to get back to it. Been using defalcos stuff since they were out on robin hood. (Houston)

Started bottling, and then went to kegging.....

Brewed up an Imperial Dark Winter Wit brew today. Hit all my numbers spot on... should make around 10-11% abv.

Imperial Winter beer (left) and my stout pitched with brettanomyces-lambicus yeast on the right

^I lost a lot of beer due to a lot of blow off during the first few days of fermentation (brett-stout) so i was only able to salvage ~4 gallons.
