Default McLeod or Tick Clutch Master???

I have gone through 2 RAM adjustable clutch master cylinders. Needless to say I have decided to go with a better brand. I was about to order the McLeod, and then I saw quite a bit of chatter about the Tick. The Tick looks much easier to install, and has a pretty good reputation.

Does anyone have an opinion on which way I should go? There both cost roughly the same, so either is fine in my opinion.

had my tick in for 1.5 years and love it.

be careful with the adjustments though... start conservative and work your way up. i blew out my slave by setting it too aggressively when i first got it.

The Ram MCs are just stock units w/ threaded end for adjustability. Made that mistake years ago too. Then got McLeod and never looked back.

The tick master cylinder is just a Tilton Universal off of Summit. I think they run $99. Tick just makes the mounting bracket or whatever and then upcharges.

I would go McLeod.

LOL! How do you figure that? They have a huge *** aluminum bracket on them when others don't. I went with McLeod... just cause I have a McLeod clutch as well, and I like to have the same brand of stuff...

Thank you guys for the kind words (and thank you Andrew for your business!) Anybody else interested in our kit can see it on our website: http://www.tickperformance.com/tick-...or-ls1-f-body/

To clarify, our kit is built around a custom Tilton Cylinder that we get directly from Tilton. We opt to use their cylinder because of their extreme high quality and dependability. The rest of the components of the kit provide the bolt-in-ability as well as the adjustability, including our custom heat wrapped, unrestricted stainless braided hydraulic line. We also warranty the kit against failure for life.

For comparison's sake, the McLeod kit is built around a Wilwood master.

Definitely won't argue against the quality of Tilton products!

What are the differences between the custom cylinder you use this one:

Is it just the bore that is different?

Interesting to know where the McLeod design came from too.
