Make sure you change out your valley cover bolts with the low profile allen head bolts. You said you don have the money to pay someone to put it on but I hope you have the money for a retune.

i know its not super hard but i want someone whos installed one before to help me it says i have to bend my ls6 pcv tube down n grind my water pump which i have all the tools for this install just think it would be fairly easy with someone thats done it before n yeah later on im gonna get a retune the car is not ready for tune yet after the intake is installed i have to bolt up the diff once its ready n save up for a retune n i have to fill my bottles n top off my stand alone so its gonna be a while but since the intake will be ready to get installed during the week id like to get it in and to be able to start it up
my car had a 92 set up on it so it shouldnt be to bad on the tune just swapped intakes with a friend

It's literally the easiest thing to do on the car. You only have to watch the brake booster Hose when you pull the intake off do it doesn't hit the oil pressure sending unit.

As far as installing the new unit the search function should provide all the information you need

Like ^^^^ said its not hard at all I've had to take off my ls6 intake a few times just pull off the vacuum hose from the brake booster first, and you should be able to do it without breaking the oil pressure sending unit.

nah.
hes gonna break it. i garontee.
gm sets it up to make it impossible to not break it for the newbs.
the way the hose is routed and the wiring back there. just a takes a slight nudge in the wrong direction and snap.
op do your best to try to not break it. its a 45$ fix

Lol yea, I broke mine the first time I took it off.
$45+ the socket. Unless you have one that's deep enough.

A intake swap isn't just "nuts and bolts"... Is it hard? Possibly for some. It is much more of a PITA than a 90 or 92, that is a fact.

im not a noob at any of this stuff lol ive installed all kinds of intake set ups on ls cars i was just told that the 102 requires modifications to make it fit and if someone has installed one of these all i ask is for help installing it i have a garage full of tools i do my own cam swaps head swaps etc.. just prefer the help of someone who can show me what has to be grinded on the water pump n what has to be done on the ls6 vent tube from the valley cover etc etc i also see it tells me to relocated my map sensor as when i installed my 92 set up i didnt have to do any of these things i am running a 4 inch cowl on my 99 ss drag set up so hood clearance is not an issue i know on the upper cowl part where the winshield wipers are some people say they recommend beating it in with a hammer? i dont know why but thats why i am asking for help on this
