Default need an LT1 rebuilt and some other stuff in North Dallas

Can anybody with '93-'97 Camaros/Firebirds help me out? I have a '95 Camaro Z28 and it needs to have the head gaskets and some other things replaced. I am having a lot of difficulty finding a reputable, clean shop in the North Dallas/Plano/Richardson/Carrollton area that actually still works on LT1s. I don't want to take it somewhere where it's the mechanic's first time taking apart an LT1. The car is currently hydrolocked with coolant in a cylinder possibly and the starter or flywheel broke when I tried to start the car, so I need some place I can flatbed tow the car to. Do any of you guys know of a place? I've had this car for 18 years, ever since my parents bought it in 1995. I want the engine rebuilt/refreshed, not replaced/swapped. If you'd prefer to email me, please email brandon@brangeta.com, thanks! You can also PM me if this forum has a rule about not posting links to non-sponsors. I'm okay with shops in other farther away places as long as they are legit businesses with insurance, business names, who stand behind and warranty their work.

Too bad I'm only down here for a wedding. It's actually really easy to do. I would just find a reputable engine shop to do the engine work and remove and reinstall it yourself. Or bring it up to Chicago and we can work something out. G/L

The book "How to Rebuild Chevy LT1/LT4 engines" is very thorough. I followed that book and rebuilt my first one when I was 18. Good luck.

Still having trouble finding anybody to take it to. A lot of dead ends (businesses are no longer in business). Any more recommendations?

The only shop I know of left in the DFW area that still works on LT1's is Daniel at ProTree.

I spoke with True Street Motorsports in McKinney after LG Motorsports told me to call them and everything sounded good to me. They work on LT1s. I need to check the place out first in person before I have the car flatbed towed there though.

I met with Daniel last week. Nice guy and knowledgeable. He had a lot of cars in his shop to work on, so I figure he has too many to work on mine. I may still want him to do the work; don't know yet. He needs to put "LT1 Specialist" on his website so he shows up in search results; I forgot to tell him that.
