Default HELP: Trying to locate this HUGGER ORANGE w/WHITE stripes camaro

Like the title states. This car was sold to a guy out in texas 4 years ago. He wrecked it like you see in the pictures and my friend was looking to buy it back and lost contact with the guy. It's been antagonizing us for years as to what happened to this car. I would buy it back even if it's in this current state still if the motor/trans/wheels/rearend and everything are still with it. The wrecked photo you see was taken in janruary of 2010. The car was only sold to the guy in late late 09, so it didn't last long. He actually wrecked it twice. Once into a curb and broke a wheel, and the rear axle. Then this happened. On to the photo's-

Texas is a pretty big place, could you narrow down where in Texas the guy was?

Judging by the pictures it's definitely totaled. Even if it was repaired professionally if will still be a salvage title z. Why not just but a cheap Fbody and make what you want of it.

I mostly care about the engine, trans, wheels, tires, and rear axle. I loved how the car looked. But it's what powered it that was the best part.

I know Texas is a Big place. Not sure at all where it went out there though.

.......and the twenty pounds of dope stuffed in the rear quarter that you forgot about. No offense but if someone wrecked a car like that I wouldn't be chasing it down. Goodluck with your search. You should narrow it down to a zone though.

I could see caring about the wheels if they weren't bent up in that accident. I'm sure that 8" lip on the rears cost someone some money somewhere. The repairs to that car would be astronomical in price.

IMHO - Like was said above. You can buy a used fbody that didn't take a hit like this for $7-11k

Our elevation here is 4300 feet. Factor in the average conditions around here and our da is usually around 6000ft. That cobra put down 590 hp uncorrected. Meaning with sae correction factor it's over 600hp. The camaro was naturally aspirated. Please find me another car that puts down that kind of power na for around 10k....

See, no where did you mention any of this before. We all assumed, well at least I did, that this was just another HOSS someone was trying to track down that had a different set of custom wheels on it and some bolt ons.

So you waited 4 years to make a thread about this car that you can't even narrow down to the closest city? Yeah I'm sure it's sat untouched for 4 years in a junk yard

Sad seeing it like that, pretty sure its been parted out. I've seen a T/A in Houston with those wheels IDk if they are the same ones but big *** lips out back.

Had I been the one that sold the car personally I would have kept tabs on it. But sine i'm not how the hell am I supposed to have that information? My buddy can't find any info for some reason on the guy. You've never heard those stories of a guy that bought and wrecked his baby and didn't have insurance like a moron and held onto it forever to hopefully fix one day? I know it's a 4th gen, so it's unlikely. But also everything could have been transplanted to another car. We just want to know what happened to it. Not some guessing BS...

Yeah, i'm sure with the worked over heads that they never addressed the valve issue...

That's fine if that's what happened. Nothing I can find on any forum shows that it was though... It's the unknown like I said that keeps me wondering.

If you still have the VIN you can alway's carfax it you would then have a death date and last place it was registered to that would help trace it to a area at least.

In the process of trying to do just that. Waiting on the vin from the PO to do that... I will update when I know that info.
