Default The F1X has arrived.

here are some before pictures. Ill post more once everything starts going in

After much debate I ended up not going with the F1C and instead decided to go F1X. The F1C would have been maxed out on my setup and the next go round I'd like to just build a 6 bolt LSX boost motor and still have a blower that had some power left on the table.

It's going to be nice went full on race car with everything, and the car won't see street miles. Removing the core support, AC, power steering, power brakes and so on has freed up all kinds of room to mount the blower however we want.

LME should be done with the motor next week so things should start progressing quickly.

Everything has been ordered so I only expect some minor changes as things progress. The only thing that won't be totally different is the body. Basic run down on everything is:
414ci iron block
Trick Flow LS3X 255 6 bolt heads
Procharger F1X w/air to water intercooler w/cog drive
Holley EFI
Full suspension from K-member back
Rick Stevens will be setting it up
Power Glide air shifted
Man Pwr Steering
Strange Brakes
12 bolt rear
Weld STS 17" in the front 15" in the rear 275 radials
Fuel system with the special lines and sized for corn, but will be fed C16 for now
And a bunch of other stuff, too much to keep track of currently.

Haven't set a real power goal for it, trying to stay conservative for the time being. The boost will be kept in the 15-18lbs range for the foreseeable future. I want to get everything dialed in as a whole before I'd consider putting any more power to it. Only thing I can say with certainty is it should make more power than it had before and run quicker as well.

Yes the project is officially underway. Even the interior is going to look completely different as well, different seats, and the Holley EFI is going to get rid of all of the gauges, and allow me to put the factory plastic back in that area. I'm going to try to figure out how to put the Holley EFI touch screen where the factory gauges are and try to make it look as factory as possible. I guess I'll get to see how many factory clusters it takes to get it just right.

The car was an Open Road Race car run in the unlimited class average speed 200+mph, and I believe it had to be like that for some reason related to that. The wall thickness on the Chromoly is 2X thicker than spec, and the diameter is 1/4" larger making for a heavy cage. I bought the car from a friend and didn't contribute to any of the part selection present in the pictures. I wish the bar went through the dash closer to the firewall, as well as the where the door bars attach to the frame given the choice would be further forward as well. Working with the cage the way it is for the time being, has been my main motivation in selecting different seats to try to make it easier to get in and out of. He was also much shorter than me so a few other things are being changed because of that as well.

Yea I bought it from Boyce in 2009. It's such a clean fbody low mileage body etc. Progress pictures will be coming soon, can't wait to have this thing finished.

Cog drive is on the way, and the converter has been ordered. Let's see some of the other odds and ins that are showing up include the spool, short block (with oh my blower cam).
