So wait, you're telling me that reality TV isn't real? Oh wait, we all knew that. On all of these shows, some of it is real, some of it is added drama.

There are two sides to every story. Personally twas me soon as rain hit the ground she would have been back on the trailer.

Hes an idiot. LOL. You don't prep the street in a street race. Sorry but hes dead wrong on that one. I have been around street racing for 30 years and I have never seen anyone prep a street. We drove to a location, usually a few to choose from and already knew who was racing who and had the bets set already and lined up and raced. We had cars running 8 second 1/4 mile times on the street with no prep back in 1985. And yes, these cars were being driven around on slicks and drove to the race. No trailer queens.

Now I know all these cars on this show are mostly real race cars and not street legal. But I like the show. Its pretty fun to watch. And Farm truck is the closest thing they have to a real street race vehicle.

I would not have raced in the sprinkles you could see in some parts of the video but the fact is they both decided to run.

Some people see this and other shows and don't get the concept that it's a production, Almost all of it is scripted and some of it probably took many takes to get it right. Look at any so called reality show and think about this for a second. I don't care if it's Fast N loud/Overhaulin/ American Pickers when they knock on a persons door the person answering the door looks surprised... I don't know why they would be surprised considering the were already fitted with a microphone before the camera was even turned on.

I filmed a segment for Misfit Garage and you're pretty close. It's not scripted, but they do multiple takes and the director throws in suggestions.

Yea, that's how they do most of these shows. Take a month of tape, then put it all together to make one show. Its all cool if they entertain me.

And on the rain, they were all dumbasses for even thinking about running in it. Slicks and water don't mix.

What I find amusing is when Street Outlaws talk about the season ending.

I never knew street racing had a "season" like first race or last race of the season!

When I was street racing we raced when ever someone laid some money down!

I think that is about the perfect response. its all fake its just so we don't have to watch some other crap about two fat idiots arguing and building hideous motorcycles. all the bets and money are fake! the crap about the okc guys worried about cops, BS the have they cops there shuting down the roads.

this show is to drag racing like WWE is to wrestling its fake as hell but just entertaining enough to keep watching.

I keep watching to see fast *** cars run down a street/track. I mentioned the whole "street" racing then long ago to my wife and some friends that watch it and how the street is shut down, big *** lights setup ect.. It may be a street but its setup for racing. Like the cops wouldn't see big flood lights they have up from town and come running to bust them. Yea, ok.

My buddy that owns a race car shop here in Austin that built our cars including a Pro Mod watches it. He knows Daddy Dave and the Sonoma truck. I didn't know it was the same guy until he told me who he was. That's the same truck he ran against us in IHRA division 4 Top Sportsman. And yes, its a fast *** truck. He knows how to make power and he is good.

So I'll keep watching as long as they keep me entertained.

Just depends where you go, I go to 4 different cities and 3/4 prep the street. I'm ok with it lol because I can hook. I've only been street racing 15yrs and until 12yrs ago I'm used to seeing the street get prepped. That's just what I see I have no problem with it.

I still wanted to see them run again when it was dry, and on equally prepared lanes I dont care if they are prepped or not, that way there's no excuses.
