Probably no shop or any one (unless it is a friend) will touch that. The product liability is GINORMUS on something like that.. If that weld failed and you wrecked and someone was hurt or killed their family or they would OWN you and the person who fixed it. Sad state of affairs but thank your lawyer and our present society.

I've had several customers go to Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists in Houston and report good success.
There are limits to what they will repair but a small crack in the lip is something they could easily repair for you.
I work in tire retail and there was a time we didn't touch any wheel that had been repaired or altered in any way. Our new guidelines handed down by corporate tell us if it has been repaired on the barrel/lip and not the spoke/face it is okay to work on. So I would imagine it has been established these are VERY safe repairs or we wouldn't risk the liability either.
My 0.02 cents.

Found a old man in Italy Tx just on the other side of Waxahachie that fixed me up for $50. Did a great job. Can't even tell it was cracked. He does exhaust work as well for pretty cheap. Best part is, it only took him an hour. I dropped it off went to lunch and he was done. I work in that area and just happened to see him welding from the road...
