Default Best dyno tune in Houston?

So who are the masters of tuning a car on a dyno? MTI, HPE etc? How much? and why are they the masters. Looking for a dyno tune next month for a TSP 233/239 and 100 wet nitrous shot.

Give Mike @ G-Force a call. He's got a tuning special going on right now. $350 for a complete, wideband, dyno tune. He's really close if you live in Clear Lake too. Give him a call to make your reservation!

Mike did mine at G-Force Motorsports. Chuck @ HPE and Jayson @ MTI are both good tuners as well. Most of the people here is Houston have turned out to be some great people when it comes to LS1,2,6 and soon to be 7 motors...

Jayson @ MTI just retuned mine after I installed heads, gears & a TB & it runs like a raped ape! Now that I have my NX kit in, I need to go back in to tune on the n2o. I have a lifetime MTI tune & the first tune picked me up about 17hp! That was when I was cam, long tube & stall only. I put down 360 with a MTI B1 Cam (baby cam) and headers.......I still have the same cam, & I just put on some MTI Stage II E heads (the budget heads) & I'm putting down 417rwhp thru an automatic. I highly recomend Jayson at MTI.

I've had nothing but excellent results with my MTI tuning. Why? Jayson has been tuning LS1s since 1998 when they started being able to tune the computers in these cars.

Yep, you & Jayson did some good work on the ol' Canibal! You gotta miss that car.......I know I do. That's the car that convinced me to dump my Mustang & get my 98 SS. Wish I still had that one! It was a coupe...but it was (shudder) red. (sorry Tony, just don't like red on my own cars) If the interior was ebony instead of the tan, I could have dealt with it but that tan interior was a PITA to keep clean when It was a daily driver.

Yeah, I miss that car as a daily drivable beast for sure. But, I like my newer toys better.

Once I get my house & get settled in, I'll be looking for a different daily driver and maybe try my hand at building a chopper.

Doing a search to find the ideal tuner in Houston, all threads for this subject read the same. HPE this, G-Force that, MTI this. It looks like a flip of the coin will decide. I want to get my car tuned this Saturday and trying to pick up some good information. Evrybody charges 500.00, right?
