Default stealing my cable

Someone is stealing my damn cable. It is the 3rd time in less than a month, time warner said someone is disconnecting my wire in the box and putting it to theirs. My question is wtf does this look like and where would it likely be, I am gonna kick some ***. I wanna connect it back and sit and wait for them to come and try it again. I live in an apartment by the way, and in just this building it has like 37 units I think. Help me out

They generally look like this (they may have more for the out)

BTW the cable company can (and usually does) put a cover over the cable so it can't be disconnected without a special tool

Ok where do I go down to look where they are stealing it from??? I dont have any cable right now and I was watching it when it went out, bastards. There is something the cable company does when they come out, they dont have to go into the apt., they just fix it and thats it. Then of course they say somebody disconnected me........

When they come out to reconnect you, do they find the apartment that is stealing it?

Look on the end of your building for a box kinda sticking off the wall. Mine are cheap and always broken open. If you can find it just open it up and it should have tagged cables for each apartment. I dont think you will be able to tell who is stealing yours but chances are there will be another open outlet for you to hook yourself back up. Its easy, I used to steal cable filters and hook up people for small fees back in Jr high.

yea it looks nothing like the pick above. it is a box with a bunch of male fittings sticking out. like the ones out of your wall in the apt. like stated above each cabl should be taged so you know which unit each belongs too. so there realy is no way to find out who is unhooking you unless you see them or the cable company spends some time looking in to which unit is suppost to have cable and which is not. the box is normaly at the end of the building like stated and some times behind some bushes. but in most cases readly accesable.

Time warner blew up for a while tonight, that could have been it too. I tried calling a few times, but just got the "all circuits are busy now" message

If it's not a box on the outside, it may be in a closet in a breezeway.

FYI you can get into timewarner boxes with a wratchet. its not hard to do. Also the 2 way splitter that is shown above would allow the creator of this thread to get cable if this
time warner said someone is disconnecting my wire in the box and putting it to theirs.
is what happened then you would not get anything, and if there was a splitter on it then he would see it. If that person was smart then they would put a splitter on it so you would not call in saying you didnt have cable

Uhh TWC is supposed to stop that, you shouldnt have too, they are the ones losing out on money from the person stealing. Tell them to do it and if they dont **** em and take matters into your own hands and **** those theives up.
