car got broken into last night!!! the 88 GTA got broken into last night... the cars have been here for just over a week 
why they decided to go for the GTA and not the Firehawk is beyond me... maybe they thought it would be less likley to have an alarm?
my roomate wakes me up at like 6am and informs me that the car got broken into... i'm like 'is it still there'?? it was... i go outside, and the driver's door is open and there is glass everywhere. there was also blood on the door and on the rear seat.
the alarm or something must have scared them away, cuz they didn't really get anything of value... they did steal the registration for some reason though... no idea why
i called the police, they filled out a report and sent the friggin crime scene investigators down... they dusted for fingerprints, but didn't find any, but they did take a blood sample.
today we got the motivation to clean the garage out, so i got the firehawk in the garage, and i negotiated with the neighbor (who is a friend of mine) to let me keep the GTA in his garage for now... man, this **** pisses me off!

I hate to hear that! Same thing happened to the girlfriend's friend the night before last. Broke into there Tahoe and took the over head flat screen monitor for the kids dvd player. *******! Must be a rash of it going around. Where abouts in south ft worth are you?
Must be in the air because I got rear ended night before last leaving work and the bitch *** drove off when I pulled into a parking lot to check out the damage. Luckily there was only 2 or 3 minor scratches. By the time I got out of the one way parking lot and back on the road they were no where to be found.

At least they didn't steal the car....I had a 86' firebird a couple years ago,the 2nd night I had it that bitch was gone!!Right out the driveway,they found it in a cornfield rims gone(they put 4 spares on) and motor blown. Bastards!!

so while we're on this topic... does anyone have a recommendation of a shop to call to get the window replaced? i thought about getting a used one at a junk yard and fixing it myself, but i'm not sure about if the stock windows have any tinting factor in them at all... so i dunno if different years/models will be an exact match?
