Default Finnaly ran a C6...

Well here's the story.....About a week ago, This guy that used to drive a black C5 in my neighborhood, bought a blue C6. Now I never talked to the guy, just saw him drive through every once in a while. So last week, when I'm pulling out of my neighborhood going to college, I see him ahead of me with his hazards on. (he's checking for something underneith his car). So I goose it when I go by him, and he jumps alittle. He catches up to me when I'm about to turn on the feader. We both turn, and he gets in the right lane, and as soon as I look over, he takes off.

So this morning at about the same time, I pull out of the driveway, and when I'm about to pull out, I see him again in front of me. This time I'm all pumped for some action. So were going down the main strip of the neighborhood, and I come up by him to give him a nod. Well he suddenly takes off again!

We then both get on the feader again, but this time I drop it into first (A4), just so I can hit it as soon as he does. He gets on my *** at first, and then comes to the right lane. Were cruising at about 25mph, while I'm hovering at about 3200 rpm. He punches it, and I react just as fast. I spin the **** out of my 11's, and then I hook when i hit 2nd. I pull a car and a half on him, and we stay that way until I shut down at 80mph.

I ran a 12.8 @107 with a crappy 60'. What number's do stock C6's run, and what about rwhp? Just trying to compare what I was up against.

I'm probably around 340 to the wheels, but I'm waiting for the cam to go in soon!

your 107 mph is a few mph too slow to hang with one from a roll. Mine went 12.54 @ 113 bone stock (6-spd). Of course, that is much better than "average" for a stock C6, mostly because the owners rarely can drive a car.

Most of them are running 12.9-13.0 at around 110-111 mph stock.

U have a X1 Cam and only run 107? Have U gotten a tune yet? I have seen a couple of stock C6 Auto's do around 320-330ish range on the dyno (maybe it was low octane gas, but damn ) Good kill maybe u can do worse next time

Okay, I thought this thread was going to die, but I had to bring it back to life. The guy in the vette wanted some more today. He came out of NO WHERE, and I looked over to see him smiling at me, while goosing it over and over again. I just shook my head, and said what the hell.

We went from 50mph, and shut down at 90mph. I put a car on him, and shut down before he started inching on me. We slowed down, and he rolled down his window and complimented my car. The guy seemed really goofy, and I found out he works at the chevy dealership. He told me he's about to get the "G06" today, and he'll see me around the neighborhood.

I'll be waiting for the G06 I guess... BTW, the X1 cam is getting installed on Friday by INSPECTOR 12!!

I ran a c-6 a while back off of fry rd. I have to agree with nine ball I dont think most of the owners know how to drive them. I saw a brand new 7 litre c-6 zo6 out at hrp a while back and it looked like it needed a driver mod also. Beating a C-6 with a 86 Iroc = priceless
