ready for HRP tomorrow!
Ive been waiting to go to the track to test out my new stuff (et streets, lca relocation brackets, and the spray) and Im finally doing it!
my previous best was on 7/05, 12.8 @ 112 w/ 2.08 60'
Today I decided to do some easy weight reduction, and I weighed everything to see what I got. I was especially happy with my new wheel setup.
here's what i just took off my car that was on last time i ran it
(weight in pounds)
my cds and misc. in my car = 8
rear seats = 30
pass. seat = 31.5
front swaybar and bolts = 13
total = 82.5
last time at the track I ran with my chrome ZR1s with DRs in back
(2) 17x11 rears = 102
(2) 17x9.5 fronts = 91.2
total ZR1 combo = 193.2
here's my new setup
(2) stock Z28 wheels fronts = 88.8
(2) firebird / ET streets rears = 77.6
total = 166.4
so with my new wheel setup I just saved 26.8 pounds of rotational weight! I was kind of impressed.
and I never really wanted to take out my pass. seat cause my car is a "street car" but it was extremely easy (4 bolts) and a decent amount of weight so I did it
anyway Im pretty excited about going tomorrow and hopefully getting a much better time NA with a good launch, and then hopefully work in the 100 shot and get in the 11s thats my goal
so is anybody else planning on going??
