Since just the other day my car has been cam surgeing, but has not done this before. It is also smoking and has thrown an O2 code, but the light has stayed off for over 300 miles now. Could it be my plugs they have 14000miles on them since I have done my heads and cam.

Mine did that too. Replaced the 02s and runs like a top again. fuel mileage is about 50percent better.

Yep, my money's on the O2 sensors. Mine did that not long after I got my headers. First one, then about a week later, the other.

The 02's fouling will foul the plugs. You probably should replace both the plugs and the 02's.

here's another vote for the 02's. A buddy of mine had the same problem and it wound up being the 02s. Good luck!

when i had my t/a the cam surged quite a bit but i did nothing about it i just kept driving it. nothing happend to the car until i tried to take it swimming and that didnt work to well.

if you need a really good deal on the o2's and plugs let me know cuz i can get them really cheap thru the dealership i use to work at.

The question is why did the O2's go bad? There has to be a cause to it or may be the problem is in the wiring.

I had the same problem. but it happened after Fastech attempted to tune my car. I put new o2's in and went to rpm and it runs like a champ. My car had about 80,000 at the time but it was definitely the o2's and new plugs.

See if all your plug are firing the same.

Not sure if you also have longtubes, but if you do, might want to get a tune...
