Im guessing probably in the 30's price range.

I think the Camaro is going to have the LS2 from what I've heard. I'm thinking the Challenger is going to have the Hemi.

I read that Dodge is considering using the 6.4 liter (392ci) Hemi in 2008 Challengers. In it's current form as a crate engine and designed for racing only, it puts out 510hp. Who knows how much that will drop once emission equipment is thrown on.

Should be a good race.

Oh yeah price, low $20k for the base V6, mid $35K for the Hemi.

How you could offer either of these vehicles with a V6 is beyond me.

for the same reason that mustangs, camaros, firebirds, etc. all have V6 versions....it's called "market share".

contrary to popular belief, V6's outsell their V8 counterparts because people like to have a "sporty car", but they still want their gas mileage and insurance breaks

i don't have any hard numbers, but judging by what i see people in my town drive, i'd say that the V6's outsell the V8's by 4:1....of course, i live in a college town, so there's lots of young drivers who want their "sporty" car, but their parents won't buy them the V8, so the numbers may be skewed a bit around here.

I dig the Challenger more than the Camaro also. I love Camaros but there is just something about that 1970 uh... I mean 2008 Challenger with a Hemi that just pulls on every bone in my body

The Challenger is the **** look wise, the camaro is the **** with the motor!! My opinions, oh and the camaro does look like a spaceship.. But I still think nither one of them should come out with big tonka wheels. That kills it.

Hemi is a joke. Just my opinion. 99.9% of people that have one don't even know what makes a hemi a hemi. They buy it for the name. I don't think the Challenger looks retro, it looks like a restored challenger with a few new parts. Camaro is at least new looking. My guess, probably $33k by 2009 for the v8.

Thats the deal, atleast the Challenger stayed very close if not on the same model of the old Challenger, thats the good part. The camaro is just to concept looking. Stick to the original models if your trying to go retro. Thats my point of view of that.

I bought my Durango with a Hemi because when I stepped on the gas, I felt like I was actually driving a V8 and the engine was matched for that size vehicle. When I drove comparable vehicles by GM and Ford, I felt like I was driving a V6. Unbelievable difference. The joke is that GM and Ford produce heavy-*** SUVs with weak engines.

They could have called it Hemgina, I would have bought it.
