Default Baseline Dyno: 307whp/326tq...... guess what cam/headers/tune results will be?

I dyno'd 307 whp and 326 tq with a lid and no cats only. cutouts were closed.

SQR/Daniel is installing a 226/226/114 cam w/ headers and a tune this week.

Anyone want to take a guess at the results?? Keep in mind.... still have a cheesy ls1 intake!

my guess is 379whp and 423 tq. ... but what do I know.

my guess would be between 360 and 375hp/ and around 380-390 torque.....give or take depending on the exhaust set up you use. That LS1 intake is robbing you of atleast 15-20hp in my opinion!

350's and 370's on torque. Wishful thinking you got there.

i hope not! 350's = weak sauce...

I will likely get a LS6 intake and UD Pulley next.... then a set of TSP or Dart budget heads..... 420whp minimum!

maybe 420+tq is asking for a bit much...... I would still expect close to 400 though. and 379 is only asking for 72 more with a nice cam, longtubes, and speed density tune with the dumps open??? what do you normally gain with the three?

37x and 37x on tq too.

the cam makes good overall power, but its not going to make that much torque.

I agree with Brandon a little but 370 is pushing it on a LS1 intake with that cam. What dumps are you talking about? Open Headers or custom duals?

I'll say around 360... I think that intake will hold you back

from 350's to 380's????

sounds like we all think differently of what a "baby cam" will do..... yeah I know i told everyone not to call it that

it will have Hooker coated LT's, a ORY, 3 inch pipe, going into a borla muffler with no plate... and a cutout b4 the muffler. I hope it gets louder!!!!

I know most people wont believe me but with a 226/226 cam and a set of GTP Stage 2 5.3 Heads we made 445rwhp in 2002. Probably one of the highest dyno numbers of a Heads/cam car at the time. Now everyone has to guess what car had it. I'll tell you this you probably lost money to it

A 98' Blue 1LE, owned by an AJ Gonzo. Just a guess

you are saying with milled/ported heads with raised compression and a 226 cam with bolt on's I can hit around 440+????

SWEET! that is exactly where I want to be! I would like to get close to 420-430 if not more with this cam, a set of ported heads, and ls6 intake, ported TB, and underdrive pulley.

The heads were originally done by GTP here in Houston and were then gone through by Lump, who is a bad *** head porter. They flowed around ~315-320cfm. The car had a LS6 intake, a home ported throttlebody, Tony Whatley's (Nineball) original FLPs that he tested for MTI, non-coated ORIGINAL FLPs, no cats, full accessories, etc. I drove the car home from being tuned, it was originally tuned by AMS when they were in Buisness. It had a 6-spd with a Mcleod Clutch in it (Not a dual disk), and a 10bolt.

Daniel was telling me last night about AMS tuning before things went south. this sounds do-able!!

What is the purpose of putting a cutout before the muffler on Borla???????? It already has one in it with the allowance for plates!!!! If you want open cutout just dont put a plate in it.

I'll say 370-380 ish also. That seems the norm for that duration and not having the LS6 intake is going to cost ~10-15 hp w/a cam.

Just because someone hit 447 whp w/that cam and ported heads doesn't mean you or most people would. You have to look at what their base dyno was.

I don't know what my base dyno was, but with cam/headers and self-tune, I managed to pull off 369 HP. The torque was fubar due to shitty plug useage.
