Default Is what a BFG DR looks like? Plus Nitto/BFG Comparison

Got them today from tirerack. When i ordered them i noticed they were listed as "BFG Drag Radial 2".

They were listed at $155.00 and they didnt have another BFG DR listed. Read the description and it was all the normal mumbo jumbo.

:dunno:

we'll see if they hook.

Oh plus the comparison on how Nitto's run narrow. :yup:

:hmm:

:dunno:

From tirerack's website:
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial 2 (Competition)
The only change will be the tire's name on the sidewall. The g-Force T/A Drag Radial-2 will retain the Comp T/A Drag Radial's dimensions and proven asymmetric tread pattern, making it compatible with the original Comp T/A Drag Radial, allowing both tires to be paired together for use on the same axle. While the name change will take place gradually during the second and the third quarter of 2004, BFGoodrich plans to convert all sizes by the fourth quarter.

No matter whether you run the g-Force T/A Drag Radial-2 or Comp T/A Drag Radial, their radial construction combines the enhanced traction, superior handling and extended durability not normally associated with competitive bias-ply drag racing tires.

BFG renamed the BFG Drag Radial to the BFG G-Force Drag Radial. I Guess they changed the name back. And yeah they hook alot better the Nitto's!

Damn, those dont even look like the drag radials i remember, mabye they just changed the tread pattern. Either way you need a nice burnout to get them sticky.

You have to put a few miles on them first, about 50 or so. They'll hook better after that.

For sure, you need to get the grease and wax off of them. They will get better after a week or so. My nitto drags did the same thing.
