I get back from Gray's house probably about 12:30 and there are cops in front of my neighbors house. We have been neighbors for the last 9 years since our houses were built in 97, and needless to say we are on prety good terms with them. So as I walk up I ask their nephew who I have known since 9th grade what happened and he said they got robbed. Whats shitty is, my nieghbors husband who is in his 80s just had a stroke so he really cant do much. They have people over there all the time because of that. When who ever broke in did so they knew exactly where to go and what to steal so chances are they had been there before because they went for the jewlery and left every thing else alone, they knew exactly where stuff was hidden. We live in a really nice neighborhood so **** like this isnt very common at all. Maybe some petty theft at most but no ones house on my street has ever gotten robbed. ******* blows, couldnt have happened to nicer people. Makes me sick

When I was 13 my house got robbed while I was home by myself. To this day, I still keep a loaded gun under my mattress just in case somebody else thinks they deserve my belongings more than I do. I live alone and nobody else has a key to my house, so I have no one to worry about other than myself in the case of another robbery.

Since our 'guests' came to Houston, the crime rate has more than doubled compared to previous years.

The crime rate took a sharp increase immediately after they came here. I wish they would bus them all back to New Orleans.

Yeah they have a lot of nice stuff but they only targeted the jewlery and stuck to one room of the house.

thats why i live in the woodlands...the crime here is like what nothing lol...i know most areas of houston are filled with crime(i grew up around it)....i stay up here in mont county...cops, residents, everyone is just so laid back i mean ill be drivin at dusk and old ladies will be runnin around the trails that go through the woods here...knock on wood nothin horrible has happened...
