well I don't know if my torque converter went out or what I put in a 700r4 and it was working ok until like 11:00pm and then it just would move a lil a like 4000rpm's............ anyone have an idea

if you don't have the full manual valve body, it'll work but you need to run a 93 automatic throttle body(has place for cable from the transmission).
I'd double check the tranny fluid level, if the cable from the transmission to the throttle body isn't hooked up it can burn up the trans(The cable helps determine when trans increases line pressure)

i have a 700r4 in my chevelle that just recently went out. checked the fluid and it was alright, but when i removed the transmission the fluid came out black like oil. not good. i burned the transmission, and im pretty sure it was the drop gear cable because sometimes it wouldn't shift down and just shoot my RPM's way up and I'd go nowhere. had to have it rebuilt and it works now, and i've disconnected the passing gear and am waiting to install the new cable in hopes of fixing the problem.
