Default 3 mins till Shuttle Atlantis Launch

Cross your fingers, say your prayers, whatever you're thing is, we need a good safe launch, mission & return. We Boeing/NASA need to get this Space Station back in construction mode again.

I got to touch that shuttle while it was being constructed cause we were in port and my maritime academy was there and was granted premission to enter (very rare occasion). a grad from the academy is Admiral Picavance and he is the voice of NASA "3,2,1, ignition" I had dinner with that guy and he is a pretty wild guy lol.

The shuttle has these tiles that cover the outside of the hull and there are thousands of them. Each one is 3x5 inch long and cost 1500 dollars each ill post pics of it later when it was in the stages of being constructed.

Great launch! I was kind of nervous, we need to keep launching on a regular basis.

Thats awesome, I've never been up close to it, been to Kennedy Space Center twice for business with Boeing during the same time as the launches but they were delayed and had to travel back

Sweet! Back when I was in the Air Force stationed at Eglin AFB, the shuttle would sometimes land there. We got to get upclose and check it out. Its pretty cool inside and out. Wouldnt catch me blasting off in it though!!!

oh hell no...now the Apollo or new Orion I'd give it a whirl just because it has the capsule emergency jettison rocket on top..at least you have a chance for escape.
