Default ABSOLUTELY FREE online credit score?

My personal bank will only release my credit score after they obtain it IF I'm applying for a loan. My credit card company doesn't offer it. I even tried to get it from the dealership I purchased my bike from, but no luck there either. Is there an online site that's ABSOLUTELY FREE that you can obtain your credit score? I've come across several of them, but I don't want to take my chances and have to pay for it.

I know, I haven't requested it from all these various sources. I want to check it once though, so I know where I stand.

It just so happens that mind doesn't, sucks. I got the idea of calling my credit card company from a credit card offer I got in the mail today. That's like the 2nd or 3rd credit card offer where it allows you to check your score.

You get one free credit report a year from all three.. As for a generally "free" report, there is no such thing. That www.freecreditreport.com is a crock of ****, I signed up for it a year ago and I get tons of emails and I think I even payed $9.99 for to view my report whenever I want.. Usually if you call your credit card companies, they will give you a report with no score, but it will show all your history and times you were delinquent

What do you mean you get one free with all 3, what 3?

I'm really not too concerned about my report, just the score, even though it wouldn't hurt to know the report.

The 3 are TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian. I think its like $14 through either of those to get your credit score after your free one

So I can obtain my score with any of the 3 and all of them offer 1 free score per year?

That's the one I used! I knew after I went to that freecredit site that it looked different.

I still work at the bank but I would have to call another department to get my credit score. I don't feel like messing with that even though it's just a phone call.

The only way to get an acurate BEACON score like you want, myfico.com is accurate place to get your score. The others ones for the most part just give you a simulated score which is not accurate at all.

Here is a forum that will help you out in anything you might want, and there is a discount for myfico.com...

http://www.creditboards.com/forums/

The cost is about 40ish for your score, I figure if you really want an accurate score you might want to pay for it. I mean you have a new GSXR-1000, a car and truck. Stop being cheap and do it the right way...

As for the comment on pulling you credit, it cost you points from hard pulls ect. This is a consumer pull and it will not count against your score..

I received another offer in the mail for a Visa from Washington Mutual stating that I'll have free online access to my credit score. Do any of you have this and is it completely free?

Weird, my Washington Mutual switched to Mastercard's a while back. They took my Visa debit card and gave my a Mastercard. I also have a Platinum Mastercard credit card through them and I have free online access to my FICO score. They don't provide you with the credit report, just the score. However, it's pulled from one source and not all 3, from what I gather. My FICO score is showing the source as TransUnion and they're usually the highest.

If I could ever give anyone advice in life it would be to know your credit score. If you ever want to buy a house, car, bike, tv, etc. on credit it comes down to your score. Go to MyFico.com like J said and teach yourself how to have good credit. If you dont you will get high interest rates solely b/c you dont know any better. I pulled mine for a free when I got out of college and found out what to do to improve it.
