H/C 01 WS6 VS. 2005 Dodge Ram 5.7 HEMI
This is extremely amusing and at the same time I am going to win some money. My neighbor with a 2005 Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi quad cab is going to race me in my heads/cam Ws6 that dynoed 390rwhp. It all started one weekend with him asking about my car and saying how badass it was. I thought we were done with the conversation and then he adds in that he would kill me at the track though. I thought he was joking at first but then I soon realized he was serious.
He states that he can run 12’s all day and with 15” rims/drag slicks he can run high 11’s. I tried as hard as I could not to laugh and act the role of amazement. I ask him what all he has done to the truck and he said: rockers, ford 9” rear, chip, exhaust, and the best- ported and polished “valves”. I ask him how much power he thinks he has and he told me 500. I again asked if that was to the ground and he stated “ofcourse, probably 600 to the flywheel.” I replied by stating that my car has probably around 250. haha.
My car is in the shop right now but next weekend it is going to be on. We have three races set up: One from a stop, one from a slow roll, and then one high way, $50 each race.
I feel bad taking money from this guy, he is a nice guy but he is a complete dumbass. He actually said if he put slicks on his truck he would need wheelie bars. I looked up the weight of his truck and it is 6500 pounds, 3000 pounds more than my TA. Another truck the same year with 125 shot of nitrous, headers and everything he already has ran a high 13. This is going to be a sad race but the thing that is going to be funny is that I have multiple cameras that are going to be rolling. I will try as hard as I possible can to put this video up on the board, but I am no genius.
I was actually thinking of beating him each race by just alittle bit. Then at the end do a double or nothing and give him something like 5 cars. But again… this is my neighbor and I don’t know how he will act when he realizes that I was playing him like a fiddle the whole time.
I almost had an odds bet in my favor also: $100 if I won and only $50 if he won. I rode in his truck and told him that the truck feels a lot more powerful and it would be only fair if I got odds. Haha. And he almost did it.
There is no smack talking going on either. He thinks he is going to win, I tell him he is probably going to win, he just has no idea. I use the whole weight thing on him and say he might mess up and spin. So far it is working perfectly. But we will see next weekend. Ill keep everyone posted.

cheatr cam and patriot stage 2 243's,
Ive got an A4, a quick tune, and a shitty flowmaster.
Hopefully around 410rwhp whenever I get the money to do a dyno tune and get a cut-out.
When I rode in the truck he punched it from around 15mph and I had to ask him if it downshifted into 1st or just stayed in 2nd. It was so slow I had no idea.
The bad thing is he is a nice guy, and funny too. But he just has no clue.
I mean when I start my car up it sounds nothing like stock. Yet I told him all I have is exhaust and he believes me. I might just say **** it and race just once for $20 and give all I got.

Since he is your neighbor and you will have to see him everyday afterwards, you can take him for a ride before the race so he can have a chance to back out of it. If he doesn't back out, take it to him.

Regardless of whether or not you decide to take his money, as soon as the race is over and he pulls up next to you, you have to ask "That thing got a hemi?"
Then collect your cash and drive off.

Bro, I salavate for those kinds of moments.... I've yet to receive an offer I cant refuse... If he can afford the truck he can afford the loss. It aggrevates me when someone brags about their stuff and hasn't got a clue what they have or what you have. Id do my best to just edge him out on all three and leave it like that. Then he will come back at you with some exhaust mod and ask you for a double or nothing, then drag his ***. More bang on his buck!
