any jobs in or around B/CS?
like the title says, anyone know of any good jobs here?
i know it's hard finding a good job here because of all the students, but i wanna get out of this line of work (customer service)...i've done customer service/tech support for over 7 years now, and i need a change of pace. it's not particularly conducive to my good health & well-being anymore. i can deal with the tech side of things with no problem, i actually enjoy figuring out problems, and learning from them...it's the customer service side that i'm looking to get away from (which ironically, is more the direction my current job is starting to lean).
i have the most experience with computers & troubleshooting, some electronics (home theater/car stereo/etc.), and can easily build/repair computers. i like working with my hands, and have done a bit of woodworking (mostly speaker boxes & such). i've done some warehouse-type work and can drive a forklift (although i don't currently have a certification), and wouldn't be opposed to operating machinery, assuming i could get the appropriate training/certifications for them as part of my job training.
i also might consider travelling for the right job, but would prefer local if possible
