Default got a ticket few years back... NEED ADVICE

So i got pulled over almost 2 years ago, and have been to a "pre-trial" over a year and a half ago and opted to go with trial by jury. I just recived my notice for my court date on jan 22 07.

So here is the info on my ticket
I was pulled over for doing 73 in a 30 , But I was on tcjestur (sp?) and the ticket is writen for 20300 kuykendahl. BTW this is in spring texas
The only thing is where the ticket is writen The posted speed limit is 45 not 30.... Just wondering if yall have any input on what i should do..

and also one other thing seince i got the ticket my car has been changed over from under my dads name to under my moms name so new plate and registration.. IS it possible to bring that up???

Need some advice on what to do thanks yall...

Let me guess it was in Olde Oaks and you were 16 ... lol they got me twice for being a stupid kid.

Anyway I think you can still get out of it with a lawyer. I doubt you'll be going to jail. I think if you don't have a lawyer it doesn't matter what you say you are screwed unless the cop doesn't show up.

if you're going over than twice the speed limit you get it suspended, or trade for jail time.

The cop wrote the ticket for the wrong speed and location? In court, you should be able to find out what part of town the cop was working. If he was working the TC Jester area like you said, then you might try to get the ticket dismissed due to the fact that the cop didn't even know where he was when he wrote it. There is a big difference in TC Jester and Kuykendahl, plus the speed was off.. That is a double technacality... If the cop isn't able to correctly write a ticket then you shouldn't be liable to pay it.

I beat a ticket this way.

However, I'm No lawyer... But I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.... Not really.. I was at home.

I've never heard of that. The cutoff for defensive driving and deferred judification is 25mph over.

Just get a lawyer.
