Churches - West Houston
Cliff's Notes: (Full Story Below)
Hey guys, I know a lot of us here (myself included) probably haven't stepped foot in a church in quite some time, but I think maybe there are a few guys or gals in here that can kinda point me in a good direction. Those of you guys that have seen my posts probably wonder why I'm even putting this up here, but let's say I've done some semi-serious thinking over the last couple of weeks, and I feel like I need to make a change for the better.
I was going to try Second Baptist West Campus out by Katy, but didn't get a chance to and huge churches aren't really my thing. Does anyone around here attend a smaller baptist or non-denominational based church?
Full Story Version:
I met a girl back in Arkansas that was a winner. She was sweet and kind and caring and honest. She was a faithful Christian and was very active in her church. She had been married before and divorced (she is 24 now) when her husband came back from Iraq with some mental/emotional issues. Our relationship was fine until I moved here to Houston, and it became really hard on her. To make a long story short, our relationship ended 2 weeks ago. She was urging me (Not pushing) to come with her to church, and I did, and the more I went, the more I liked it and found comfort in it. She did an amazing job of guiding me back to where I think I belong, but now she is gone and the outside support for me to grow my faith has gone with it. Ever girl I had met before her was loud, obnoxious, uneducated, and kinda loose. She was not. She is educated, intelligent, classy, quiet, morally conscious, honest, and FAITHFUL. For what it's worth, I deserved to lose her, but that's not a story for here. But I DO want to take a different direction in my life and meet more people like her and her family and grow my faith. This may be the only serious post you guys ever get from me, so enjoy it.
Note: I'm pretty sure Gray will crack up at this post. He thinks he knows me better than that, but he doesn't.

which church in the woodlands do you work at?
there's alot of good churches in Houston, alot of big ones and alot of small ones too. I'll ask some of my friends down there what a good church is on the west side, and i'll get back to you.

Looking back over the post it would seem that way, but no. What I was shooting for was an attempt to surround myself with people who are kind, caring, and faithful. Finding a girl isn't exactly topping my list of stuff to do.

Hello Tater,
I actually work for Katy Christian Ministries. We are not a church but provide social services to the people of Katy and the surrounding areas. There are over 35 churches in our coalition all in the Katy area, churches that support us.
If you would like to call me on Monday, maybe I can help point you in the right direction. I manage our donation center.
